Business is hectic and complicated. There’s too much to do, and not enough time to do it. We rush from one project or meeting to another to another to another. Moreover, when we return to our office, there are five, ten or more voicemails, emails or people who need our attention.

Our office is cluttered with piles of paper that we’ve got to address. There are customers to invoice, proposals to prepare, bills to pay and things to follow up on, This does not include the miscellaneous stuff that has accumulated for weeks or even months.

Our computer monitors are covered with reminders of things to do and people to call. Our inbox and outbox have become hold boxes filled with unopened mail, faxes, and who knows what else. We spend most of our day putting out fires.

When we leave the office, we take our laptop with us so we can check our emails. Moreover, yes, don’t forget our mobile phone. We are afraid to be out of touch even for a moment.

To stay on top of things, we come in early, stay late, work weekends but never seem to catch up.

Where are we going with our lives? Something is getting lost in all of this chaos and mayhem.

We are so busy and working so hard, we have lost track of what we want to do with our lives.

We’ve got a job of running a business. We are making a living and paying the bills. We forgot the goals, dreams and desires of why we are in business in the first place. We are putting in hard work and effort that it is not giving us an inner feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment we need or that success we once dreamed of achieving by owning a business.
